Organic Body Butter Ingredients

  • Virgin Coconut Oil

     When applied to the skin it may enhance its protective barrier functions, it is antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory also having antibacterial, antiviral and anti-fungal properties. It has been traditionally used as moisturizer for centuries by people in the tropical region.

    Keeping your skin hydrated can help preserve its function as a barrier to keep out bacteria, promote the healing of scars and maintain overall skin integrity.

    Best for body use. Not recommended for face, could cause clogged pores.

  • Unrefined Shea Butter

    Works like an emollient. It helps soften or smooth dry skin. Shea Butter also contains substances that can reduce skin swelling.

    Shea Butter is suitable for all skin types, including dry, sensitive, and oily skin. It can help to balance the skin's natural oils and hydrate dry skin without clogging pores.

    Comedogenic Rating 0-2

    Can be used on body or face.

  • Mango Butter

    Mango Butter is a long-lasting emollience nourishes the skin and boosts it's elasticity, therefore making skin look smoother and firmer. It is generally non-comedogenic and is good for sensitive skin. Mango contains salicylic acid and antioxidants, which are known to protect from sun damage. Most notably, Mangos are rich in Vitamins C & E, that provide protection for your skin against environmental damage.

  • Cocoa Butter

    Cocoa Butter is high in fatty acids, which is why it's often touted for its ability to hydrate and nourish the skin as well as improving elasticity. The fat in Cocoa Butter forms a protective barrier over the skin to hold in its moisture. These substances may improve blood flow to the skin and slows skin's aging by protecting against the sun’s harmful UV rays.

  • Jojoba Oil

    Jojoba Oil is rich in Vitamin E, it is also an excellent choice to treat scars. 

    Another benefit of Jojoba Oil for scars is its ability to soothe and calm the skin. Scars can be accompanied by itching, redness, and inflammation, which can make them more noticeable. Jojoba Oil has anti-inflammatory properties and can help to reduce redness and inflammation, which can help to make scars less visible. Jojoba is high in Eicosenoic Acid (Omega-9 fatty acid) that can have several benefits for the skin such as moisturizing, balancing oil production and delivering nutrients deep into the skins dermis.

    When used topically, the fats protect against age spots and reduce the appearance of acne scarring and stretch marks.     It preserves the integrity of the skin cell walls by supplying necessary fatty acids, allowing the skin to retain water and stay hydrated.

    Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant and important for promoting healthy skin regeneration. This can help to improve the appearance of scars by encouraging the growth of new skin cells.

  • Lavender Essential Oil & Arrowroot Powder

    Lavender Essential Oil has potent antioxidant capabilities. It soothes the skin and is an antimicrobial agent. Lavender Essential Oils also contain compounds like linalool & linalyl acetate that can also repel insects such as mosquitos, flies, moths, fleas and ticks!

    Arrowroot acts as a thickener and softener in emulsions and has also proven to be helpful for oily, sensitive and acne prone skin. When combined with essential oils, Arrowroot Powder can also help mask odor.
